About NFMC Festivals

The Festivals Program of the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC) provides an opportunity for music students (Juniors up to age 18 or adults) of all abilities to perform before judges and receive a yearly evaluation of their performances in a non-competitive environment. Festivals are held through State Federations such as the AZFMC. The program is designed to stimulate interest in American and international music and encourage participants to strive for high standards of musical achievement. Although it is not a competition, the Federation Festivals program provides participants a wide range of performance opportunities in all skill levels to build confidence and to increase in musical proficiency.

Students perform a required piece selected from the NFMC Festivals Bulletin and a choice piece for adjudication. Each receives a personal evaluation to aid in achieving musical goals. All students participating receive points towards Gold Cups, providing incentive for excellence and growth.
